After completing his residency in 1988, Dr. Cole began as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and taught at both the University of Texas and Vanderbilt University.  A native of Abingdon, VA, Dr. Cole returned to the area and joined Abingdon Ear, Nose, & Throat in 1993 and retired from the practice in 2004.  In early 2011, Dr. Cole rejoined the staff at Abingdon Ear, Nose, & Throat as a part-time physician working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday each week.
